Wet weather overflow into first flush tank Elm Street facility

Photo # 1 Excess Storm/Sewage water entering into Elm Street First Flush Tank

Photo # 2 Wet Weather

During wet weather the incoming sewage and storm water causes an increased amount of water to enter the treatment facility.  Once the first flush tank fills the excess is pumped into the storm water excess flow lagoon then discharged into the Panther Creek at the Elm Street facility.  At the Southeast facility once the first flush tank is filled the excess is discharged into the South Fork of the Sangamon River.
